Martin Bohle will give two seminars in December 2025

Paul Cleverley will deliver a webinar titled "Large Language Models and Their Role in Geoscience Education: Opportunities and Challenges".


This event is organized by the IUGS Commission on Geoscience Education (COGE) - Education, Outreach, and Policy (EOP) and will be held on 27 November 2025 (14:00 GMT+1).


Paul Cleverley is a Geologist, Computer and Data Scientist by background. He has worked in the natural resources sector for over 30 years for both multinationals and technology startups. Twice awarded the United Kingdom's highest Business Award for enterprise innovation, he is also a Visiting Professor of Information Science & Technology at Robert Gordon University in Scotland. He serves on several international advisory committees in geoscience and AI and is currently Chair of the AI Ethics Task Group of the Commission on Geoethics of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) and Member of the Board of Experts of the International Association for Promoting Geoethics (IAPG) for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Geosciences.
