We would like to kindly remind you that the deadline for submitting abstracts for the session TS22. GEOETHICS IN GEOMORPHOLOGY jointly organized by the International Association for Promoting Geoethics (IAPG) and the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG), is quickly approaching. The new deadline for the submission is 23 February 2025.
This thematic session (Conveners: Elizabeth Rovere, IAPG, and Andrea Coronato, IAG) is organized at the Regional Conference on Geomorphology of the International Association of Geomorphologists to be held in Timisoara (Romania) from 16 to 18 September 2025.
The session TS22. Geoethics in Geomorphology aims to bring together researchers, academics, professionals, and students interested in exploring the intersection of geomorphology and geoethics. We will discuss how scientific and technical decisions in the study of landscapes should be guided by ethical principles, considering both environmental and social impacts. Besides, the session seeks to raise awareness about the ethical responsibilities in geomorphological research and its application in decision-making that affects ecosystems and communities.
Participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral communications and posters, showcasing innovative research in this field.
