IAPG is legally recognized by the Italian Republic with public notarial deed of 21 December 2012, repertoire no. 16255, collection no. 8340.

 

IAPG is a scientific, non-governmental, non-political, non-profit, non-party institution, at all times free from racial, gender, religious or national prejudices.

 

IAPG lives exclusively through donations and personal funds of its members.

IAPG received grants from the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS): 1,000 USD (687.19 Euros) in 2014; 1,500 USD (1,298.57 Euros) in 2016; 1,500 USD (1,316.11 Euros) in 2017; 2,000 USD (1,595.61 Euros) in 2018; 3,000 USD (2,623.01 Euros) in 2019; 4,000 USD (3,484.33 Euros) in 2020; 4,000 USD (3,293.43 Euros) in 2021; 5,000 USD (4,673.81 Euros) in 2022. From 2023, the annual IUGS grant is transferred to the IUGS Commission on Geoethics.

Italian taxpayers can choose to devolve to IAPG a compulsory 5 ‰ = 0.5% (‘five per thousand') from their annual income tax return. They donated to IAPG 505.00 Euros (2014); 337.29 Eur; 287.53 Euros (2016); 612.47 (2017); 553.98 (2018); 894.51 (2019); 486.25 (2020); 458.87 (2021); 419.98 (2022).
