Introduction to geoethics: definition, concepts, and application

Silvia Peppoloni, research geologist at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Secretary General of the IAPG - International Association for Promoting Geoethics, introduces the audience to the definition and meaning of geoethics, also from a philosophical point of view; she highlights the main characteristics of geoethics and the concept of responsibility; illustrates the four ethical dimensions of geoethics; describes the themes of geoethics and the fields of its application.

IAPG keynote speeches on geoethics in USA

Our co-coordinator of IAPG-USA, Vincent Cronin, gives a keynote speeches on 8 October 2015 at the Annual Ethics Luncheon of the West Texas Geological Society at the Midland Petroleum Club and on 25 February 2016 at the South Texas Geological Society meeting at the Petroleum Club of San Antonio, both titled "How and what should we teach novice geoscientists about geoethics?"

IAPG Keynote at nANO meeting in Germany

Our Corresponding Citizen Scientist, Martin Bohle, gives a keynote speech at the meeting "nANO meets water VII" in Oberhausen (Germany), on 18 February 2016.

The keynote is titled "Geoethik: Richtschnur für’s Anthropozän (Geoethics: Guidance in the Anthropocene)".

IAPG Video Lecture in Nigeria
