Vincent S. Cronin

Emeritus Professor of Geoscience, with broad experience in neotectonics, finite plate kinematics, engineering geology, and geoethics.  He is the North American Coordinator of IAPG.  He is the editor and principal revision author of the widely used AGI/NAGT Laboratory Manual in Physical Geology. (11th-13th editions).  In 2023, he has been the AEG-GSA's Richard H. Jahns Lecturer, and was selected to receive the AIPG's Ben Parker Medal.

Rie S. Hori

She is a geologist and biostratigrapher/paleontologist and has studied pelagic and deep-sea sediments from Archean to Mesozoic, contributed to IUGS activities (e.g., Working Group Member for GSSP of the Triassic-Jurassic boundary 2006-2008, Scientific Board Member of International Geoscience Program - IGCP 2011-2014). She is a Council member of Science Council of Japan, Vice-president of JpGU (Japan Geoscience Union), Councilor member of the Geological Society of Japan and Vice-president of Ehime University, Japan. She has long been involved in promoting EDI issues as chair of the Gender and Diversity Committee of the Geological Society of Japan.

Vitor Correia

International Association for Promoting Geoethics (IAPG)

Secretary-General of the International Raw Materials Observatory, a non-profit, independent, international association that supports international cooperation in the mineral raw materials' field, and he works as an independent consultant active in EU and development banks projects. He founded and managed companies working in mineral exploration, mine permitting, environmental impact assessment andgeotechnics, and he has over 30 years of experience in strategic management, innovation and organizational effectiveness. He began his careeras a mine geologist, and he worked in mining, geological engineering and environmental geology projects in Europe, Africa and South America. He is a member of the Expert Group on Resource Classification of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE; since 2014) and he is Past President of the European Federation of Geologists (2013-2019). He was member of the Board of the Portuguese Association of Geologists (2007-2019) and he's an Honorary Fellow of the Geological Society of London. He holds a BSc in Geology and an MBA, both from the University of Lisbon, and he holds the EuroGeologist professional title (since 2011).

Jorge Tapias Gomez

He is a geologist and has worked as a cartographer for 21 years at the Colombian Geological Survey. He is the first author of the Geological Map of Colombia at a scale of 1:1M ― editions 2007, 2015, 2020, and 2023 ― and the Geological Map of South America at a scale of 1:5M, edition 2019. He was appointed Vice–president for South America of the Commission for the Geological Map of the World in February 2018 and member of the Nominating Committee of the IUGS in October 2020. He was the editor–in–chief of The Geology of Colombia: Multivolume book.
